About The Needle & Bee

Elizabeth, the creator and founder of The Needle & Bee, has been sewing since childhood, but her passion for quilting began over 15 years ago, sparked by the memory of a baby quilt her grandmother made for her. As a child, she was captivated by the quilt’s soft, stitched textures and ran her fingers over them until the threads were worn away. That early experience instilled a deep love for the comfort and character of handmade textiles.

After her youngest child went off to college, Elizabeth began a successful career in the design industry, working for two of the most prestigious fabric houses. Immersed in a world of exquisite materials and iconic prints, she began experimenting in her free time quilting with pure linen. The moment she pulled her first linen quilt from the dryer, she was hooked—the unique texture, drape, weight, and quiet elegance of linen sparked a new creative obsession. One she is excited to now share with others!
